Bu politika, Mootchy mobil uygulamasını ve mootchy.com sitesini kullandığınızda hangi kişisel verileri işlediğimizi, neden işlediğimizi, kimin neyi görebildiğini ve haklarınızı açıklar. Sade tutmaya çalıştık.

Kısaca

Mootchy'yi kullanmak için bir hesap açmanız gerekir. Sizden istediğimiz asgari bilgi budur.

Mootchy takip üzerine kurulu bir topluluktur: profiliniz ve paylaştığınız değerlendirmeler ile listeler, siz "Yalnız ben" ya da gizli yapmadıkça Mootchy'deki diğer kullanıcılara açıktır. 18 yaşından küçük hesaplarda varsayılan çok daha dardır.

Verilerinizi satmıyoruz. Reklam amaçlı takip yapmıyoruz. Reklam kimliği kullanmıyoruz.

Hesabınızı ve tüm verilerinizi uygulamanın içinden, bize sormadan kalıcı olarak silebilirsiniz.

Mootchy, Türkiye'de yerleşik olarak Fırat Polat tarafından geliştirilmekte ve işletilmektedir. Bu politika kapsamındaki veri sorumlusu odur.

İşlediğimiz veriler

Hesap ve profil bilgileri. E-posta adresiniz, kullanıcı adınız, görünen adınız, biyografiniz, dilerseniz eklediğiniz profil fotoğrafınız, doğum tarihiniz, favori türleriniz, favori yapımlarınız, içeriğinizin kime açık olacağı (kitle) ve izlediklerinizi gösterme tercihiniz.
Profil fotoğrafı. Fotoğraf eklemek zorunlu değildir. Galerinizden seçtiğiniz veya kamerayla çektiğiniz fotoğraf, yüklenmeden önce cihazınızda yeniden boyutlandırılır ve yeniden kodlanır; bu işlem, fotoğrafın çekildiği konum gibi gömülü üstverileri (EXIF) siler. Yalnızca işlenmiş görsel (küçük bir JPEG) saklanır. Profil fotoğrafınız diğer Mootchy kullanıcılarına görünür: profilinizde, değerlendirmelerinizin ve etkinliklerinizin yanında, takip listelerinde, kişi aramasında, bildirimlerde ve Mootchy Night odalarında. Fotoğrafınızı dilediğiniz zaman Profili Düzenle → Fotoğraf bölümünden değiştirebilir veya kaldırabilirsiniz; kaldırdığınızda ya da yerine yenisini koyduğunuzda eski dosya silinir. Hesabınızı sildiğinizde fotoğrafınız da silinir.
Takip ve etkileşim. Takip ettiğiniz ve sizi takip eden hesaplar, takip istekleri, değerlendirmelere verdiğiniz ve değerlendirmelerinizin aldığı beğeniler, takipçilerinizden çıkardığınız ve engellediğiniz hesaplar.
Uygulama içi etkinlikleriniz. Beğendiğiniz ve geçtiğiniz yapımlar, verdiğiniz puanlar, yazdığınız değerlendirmeler ve her biri için seçtiğiniz görünürlük, oluşturduğunuz listeler ve onlara seçtiğiniz kapaklar, izleme hedefleriniz ve istatistikleriniz, vizyona girince haber verilmesini istediğiniz yapımlar (vizyon hatırlatmaları), katıldığınız Mootchy Night (Film Gecesi) oturumları, bu oturumlardaki oylarınız ve eşleşmeler, bildirim kayıtlarınız ve bildirim tercihleriniz.
Yaş bilgileri. Doğum tarihiniz. Bazı ülke ve eyaletlerde kayıtta uygulama mağazasından (Apple ya da Google) yaş aralığınızı da alırız; yalnız aralığın alt ve üst sınırını ve ne zaman sorulduğunu saklarız. Bu bilgiyi yalnız yaşa bağlı korumaları uygulamak için kullanırız.
Rıza ve kabul kayıtları. Kullanım Koşulları'nı ve bu politikayı hangi sürümüyle ve ne zaman kabul ettiğiniz; eski içeriğinizi herkese açmak için verdiğiniz cevap.
İçe aktardıklarınız. Netflix, Letterboxd ya da IMDb'den aldığınız bir dışa aktarma dosyasını içe aktarırsanız dosya telefonunuzda okunur. Sunucumuza yalnız eşleştirme için gereken yapım bilgileri (ad ve yıl) ile o yapımlara ait puanlarınız ve tarihler gelir. Eşleşenler izleme geçmişinize, beğenilerinize, puanlarınıza ve listelerinize işlenir.
Bildirim ve moderasyon kayıtları. Gönderdiğiniz bildirimler (şikâyetler), içeriğiniz ya da hesabınız hakkında yapılan bildirimler, verilen moderasyon kararları ve size gönderilen gerekçe e-postaları.
Teknik bilgiler. Cihaz modeli, işletim sistemi sürümü, uygulama sürümü, cihaz dili, IP adresinizden türetilen yaklaşık konum bilgisi (ülke ve şehir düzeyinde) ve bildirim gönderebilmemiz için cihazınıza ait bildirim anahtarı.
Ürün kullanım ölçümleri. Uygulamanın hangi bölümlerinin kullanıldığını anlamak amacıyla sınırlı sayıda uygulama içi olay kaydedilir. Bu kayıtlarda kimliğiniz yalnızca hesabınıza ait rastgele üretilmiş bir tanımlayıcı ile temsil edilir; e-posta adresiniz veya kullanıcı adınız bu kayıtlara dahil edilmez. İzlediğiniz veya beğendiğiniz yapımların adları da bu kayıtlara dahil edilmez.
Hata ve çökme kayıtları. Uygulama beklenmedik şekilde kapandığında teknik hata kaydı, cihaz bilgisi ve hesap tanımlayıcınız kaydedilir.

Kimler neyi görür

Mootchy'deki herkes: profiliniz (görünen adınız, kullanıcı adınız, fotoğrafınız, biyografiniz, favori yapımlarınız), takipçi ve takip sayılarınız ile listeleriniz, herkese açık puanlarınız, değerlendirmeleriniz ve listeleriniz, değerlendirmelerinizin beğeni sayısı. Herkese açık değerlendirmeleriniz takipçilerinizin akışında ve yapımların sayfasında görünebilir.
Yalnız siz: "Yalnız ben" yaptığınız değerlendirmeler ve gizli listeleriniz, izledikleriniz (siz açmadıkça), deste içinde beğendiğiniz ve geçtiğiniz yapımlar, e-posta adresiniz, doğum tarihiniz ve bildirimleriniz. Bir değerlendirmeyi kimlerin beğendiği kimseye gösterilmez.
Mootchy Night odasındakiler: adınız, fotoğrafınız, odadaki oylarınız ve eşleşmeler.
Engellediğiniz bir hesapla birbirinizin içeriğini görmezsiniz. 18 yaşından küçük hesaplarda varsayılanlar çok daha dardır; bkz. "Çocuklar ve gençler".

Toplamadığımız veriler

Konum servislerinizden, rehberinizden veya mikrofonunuzdan hiçbir veri toplamıyoruz. Fotoğraf galerinize ve kameranıza yalnızca siz bir profil fotoğrafı seçmek ya da bir Mootchy Night odasının QR kodunu taramak istediğinizde, o an için erişiriz; galerinizi taramayız ve seçtiğiniz fotoğraf dışında hiçbir görüntüyü saklamayız. Ekran kaydı almıyoruz. Reklam kimliği kullanmıyoruz ve reklam ağlarıyla veri paylaşmıyoruz.

Cihaz izinleri

Kamera: bir Mootchy Night odasının QR kodunu taramak veya profil fotoğrafı çekmek istediğinizde. QR taramasında görüntü kaydedilmez ve hiçbir yere gönderilmez; çektiğiniz profil fotoğrafı yalnızca siz onayladığınızda yüklenir.
Fotoğraf galerisi: yalnızca profil fotoğrafı seçmek istediğinizde. Yalnızca seçtiğiniz fotoğraf işlenir.
Bildirimler: yeni takipçiler ve takip istekleri, değerlendirmelerinize gelen beğeniler, Mootchy Night davetleri ve eşleşmeleri, haber vermemizi istediğiniz yapımların vizyon hatırlatmaları için. Kategorileri uygulama ayarlarından tek tek kapatabilirsiniz. İzin vermeyi reddedebilirsiniz, uygulama yine çalışır.
İnternet ve ağ durumu: içerik çekmek ve çevrimdışı durumu anlamak için.

İşleme amaçlarımız

Verilerinizi hizmetin sunulması ve sürdürülmesi; hesabınızın oluşturulması ve güvenliğinin sağlanması; profilinizin ve paylaştığınız içeriğin seçtiğiniz kitleye gösterilmesi; takip, beğeni ve Mootchy Night özelliklerinin çalıştırılması; size uygun içerik önerilerinin üretilmesi, kişiselleştirilmesi ve değerlendirmelerin yapım sayfalarında ve akışlarda sıralanması; bildirimlerin iletilmesi; 18 yaşından küçükleri korumaya yönelik yaş kontrolleri; bildirimlerin (şikâyetlerin) incelenmesi, moderasyon kararları ve itirazlar; hataların tespit edilip giderilmesi; kötüye kullanımın ve güvenlik ihlallerinin önlenmesi; ürünün geliştirilmesi ve istatistiksel analiz amaçlarıyla işliyoruz.

Hukuki dayanaklarımız

Sözleşmenin kurulması ve ifası: hesabınızın açılması ve hizmetin sunulması; profilinizin ve seçtiğiniz kitleye göre paylaştığınız içeriğin gösterilmesi; takip, beğeni, bildirim, Mootchy Night ve içe aktarma özellikleri.
Meşru menfaat: güvenlik ve kötüye kullanımın önlenmesi, bildirimlerin incelenmesi ve moderasyon, hata giderme, ürün geliştirme ve ürün kullanım ölçümü, önerilerin ve sıralamaların hesaplanması. Bunları temel hak ve özgürlüklerinize zarar vermeyecek ölçüde yaparız; ürün kullanım ölçümünü ayarlardan kapatabilirsiniz.
Hukuki yükümlülük: yasaların gerektirdiği yaş kontrolleri (bazı ülke ve eyaletlerde mağazadan alınan yaş aralığı dahil), yasa dışı içerikle ilgili yükümlülükler ve yetkili makamların talepleri.
Açık rıza: takip modeline geçmeden önce yalnız arkadaşlarınıza açık olan eski değerlendirme ve listelerinizin herkese açılması. Rıza hizmetin koşulu değildir ve dilediğiniz an geri alabilirsiniz: her değerlendirmeyi "Yalnız ben", her listeyi gizli yapabilirsiniz.

Otomatik işlemler

Önerilerin ve sıralamaların hesaplanması, ağır hakaret ve küfür içeren metinlerin kaydedilmeden reddedilmesi ve belirli sayıda bildirim alan içeriğin inceleme bitene kadar gizlenmesi otomatik olarak yapılır. İçeriğinizi kaldırma ya da hesabınızı askıya alma kararlarını bir insan verir. Otomatik bir işlemin sonucuna support@mootchy.com adresinden itiraz edebilirsiniz.

Hizmet sağlayıcılarımız

Hizmeti sunabilmek için sınırlı sayıda hizmet sağlayıcı kullanıyoruz: veritabanı, kimlik doğrulama ve dosya depolama altyapısı, ürün kullanım ölçümü, hata izleme, uygulama güncellemelerinin dağıtımı ve bildirim iletimi, e-posta gönderimi, Google ve Apple ile giriş özellikleri. Bu sağlayıcılar verilerinizi yalnızca bizim adımıza ve bu politikada belirtilen amaçlarla işler. Sağlayıcıların sunucuları yurt dışında bulunabilir; ürün kullanım ölçümü ve hata izleme hizmetlerimiz Avrupa Birliği bölgesinde barındırılmaktadır.

Verinin nerede tutulduğu

Veriler, profil fotoğrafları ve bekleme listesi dahil, Supabase altyapısında, Avrupa Birliği (Frankfurt) bölgesindeki sunucularda saklanır. Sağlayıcılarımızdan bazıları Türkiye ve AB dışında bulunabilir; bu durumda aktarım, ilgili sağlayıcının standart sözleşme hükümleri kapsamında gerçekleşir.

Toplulaştırılmış ve anonim veriler

Kimliğinizle ilişkilendirilemeyecek şekilde toplulaştırılmış ve anonim hale getirilmiş istatistikler üretebiliriz. Bu istatistikler bireysel kullanıcılara geri döndürülemez ve kişisel veri niteliği taşımaz. Bu nitelikteki istatistikleri üçüncü taraflarla paylaşabilir veya lisanslayabiliriz. Kişisel verilerinizi hiçbir koşulda satmayız ve veri simsarlarıyla paylaşmayız.

Saklama süresi

Hesap ve profil verileriniz hesabınız açık kaldığı sürece saklanır. Hesabınızı sildiğinizde bu veriler ve bunlara bağlı uygulama içi kayıtlarınız sistemlerimizden kaldırılır. Ürün kullanım ölçümleri ve hata kayıtları, hizmet sağlayıcılarımızın saklama süreleri boyunca tutulur. Toplulaştırılmış ve anonim istatistikler, kişisel veri niteliği taşımadıkları için hesap silinmesinden etkilenmez.

Hesap silme geri alınamaz.
Profil fotoğrafınız siz kaldırana veya hesabınızı silene kadar saklanır; yerine yenisini koyduğunuzda eski dosya silinir.
Vizyon hatırlatmalarınız siz kaldırana veya hesabınızı silene kadar saklanır.
İçe aktarma kayıtları, içe aktarmayı geri alana ya da hesabınızı silene kadar saklanır.
Mağazadan alınan yaş aralığı ile rıza ve kabul kayıtlarınız hesabınız açık kaldığı sürece saklanır.
Moderasyon kararlarının kaydı, hesabınız silinse bile hesabınızla bağı koparılarak, yasal yükümlülüklerimiz ve itirazlar için gerektiği sürece saklanır.
Bekleme listesi adresleri, lansman duyurusu gönderilene kadar veya siz çıkmak isteyene kadar saklanır.
Çökme kayıtları en fazla 90 gün tutulur.

Haklarınız

Kişisel verilerinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, işlenmişse buna ilişkin bilgi talep etme, işlenme amacını ve amacına uygun kullanılıp kullanılmadığını öğrenme, yurt içinde veya yurt dışında verilerinizin aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme, eksik veya yanlış işlenmiş olması hâlinde düzeltilmesini isteme, silinmesini veya yok edilmesini isteme, bu işlemlerin verilerinizin aktarıldığı üçüncü kişilere bildirilmesini isteme, işlenen verilerin münhasıran otomatik sistemlerle analiz edilmesi suretiyle aleyhinize bir sonuç ortaya çıkmasına itiraz etme ve kanuna aykırı işleme sebebiyle zarara uğramanız hâlinde zararın giderilmesini talep etme haklarına sahipsiniz.

Avrupa Birliği, Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı ya da Birleşik Krallık'taysanız ayrıca verilerinize erişme, düzeltme, silme, işlemeyi kısıtlama, taşınabilirlik ve meşru menfaate dayanan işlemeye itiraz etme haklarına sahipsiniz. Verilerinizin bir kopyasını uygulamada Ayarlar → Veriler → Verileri dışa aktar yolundan alabilirsiniz.

Bu haklarınızı kullanmak için support@mootchy.com adresine yazabilirsiniz. Hesabınızı uygulama içinden doğrudan silebilirsiniz. Talebinize en geç 30 gün içinde dönüş yaparız.

Tercihleriniz

Her değerlendirmeyi "Yalnız ben" yapabilir, her listeyi gizli tutabilirsiniz.
İzlediklerinizi başkalarına gösterip göstermeyeceğinizi Ayarlar → Gizlilik ve Sosyal bölümünden seçersiniz.
Takipçilerinizi kaldırabilir, istemediğiniz hesapları engelleyebilirsiniz.
Bildirim tercihlerinizi kategori bazında yönetebilir, ürün kullanım ölçümünü uygulama ayarlarından kapatabilirsiniz.
Profil fotoğrafınızı Profili Düzenle bölümünden dilediğiniz zaman değiştirebilir veya kaldırabilirsiniz; bir vizyon hatırlatmasını ilgili yapımın sayfasından kaldırabilirsiniz.

Hesabınızı silmek

Uygulamada Profil → Ayarlar (sağ üstteki dişli) → Hesap → Tehlikeli Bölge → Hesabı Sil yolunu izleyin. Hesabınız, profil fotoğrafınız, beğenileriniz, listeleriniz, puanlarınız, değerlendirmeleriniz ve aldıkları beğeniler, takip ettikleriniz ve takipçileriniz, hedefleriniz, vizyon hatırlatmalarınız, içe aktarma kayıtlarınız, yaş ve rıza kayıtlarınız ve Mootchy Night geçmişiniz kalıcı olarak silinir. Apple ile giriş yaptıysanız silme sırasında Apple'ın doğrulama sayfası açılır; sayfayı tamamlamadan kapatırsanız hesabınız silinmez.

Çocuklar ve gençler

Mootchy 13 yaşın altındaki çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bilerek onlardan veri toplamayız. 13 yaşından küçük olduğunu öğrendiğimiz hesapları sileriz. Ebeveynseniz ve böyle bir durumdan şüpheleniyorsanız bize yazın.

13–17 yaşındaki hesaplar için şu korumaları uygularız:

Değerlendirmeleri ve listeleri varsayılan olarak yalnız karşılıklı takipleştikleri kişilere açıktır. Herkese açmak isterlerse bunu bir açıklamayla kendileri seçer ve her zaman geri alabilirler.
Onları takip etmek onaylarını ister. Takipçi ve takip listeleri ile sayıları başkalarına gösterilmez.
Aramada yalnız tam kullanıcı adlarıyla bulunurlar; önerilen hesaplar arasında çıkmazlar ve değerlendirmeleri yapımların sayfasında gösterilmez.
Değerlendirmelerini yalnız karşılıklı takipleştikleri beğenebilir. İzledikleri başkalarına hiç gösterilmez.
Takip modeline geçmeden önceki içerikleri herkese açılmaz.
Doğum tarihleri uygulamadan değiştirilemez. 18 yaşına girdiklerinde hiçbir ayar kendiliğinden açılmaz; bir kez sorarız.
Bazı ülke ve eyaletlerde uygulama mağazasının yaş bilgisi de kullanılır; mağaza 18 yaşından küçük derse bu korumalar doğum tarihinden bağımsız olarak uygulanır.
18 yaşından küçük birinin dahil olduğu bildirimler moderasyonda öne alınır. Ayrıntılar: Çocuk güvenliği standartları.

Değişiklikler

Bu politikayı güncellersek bu sayfadaki sürüm ve tarihi değiştiririz. Önemli bir değişikliği uygulamada gösterir ve kabulünüzü isteriz; bu sürümde olduğu gibi.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data we process when you use the Mootchy mobile app and mootchy.com, why we process it, who can see what, and what rights you have. We have tried to keep it plain.

In short

You need an account to use Mootchy. That is the minimum we ask of you.

Mootchy is a community built on following: your profile and the reviews and lists you share are open to other Mootchy users unless you mark them Only me or private. Accounts under 18 start from much narrower defaults.

We do not sell your data. We do not track you for advertising. We do not use an advertising identifier.

You can permanently delete your account and all of your data from inside the app, without asking us.

Data controller

Mootchy is developed and operated by Fırat Polat, based in Türkiye, who is the data controller for the purposes of this policy.

Data we process

Account and profile information. Your email address, username, display name, biography, the profile photo you may choose to add, date of birth, favourite genres, favourite titles, who your content is open to (your audience) and whether you show what you have watched.
Profile photo. Adding a photo is optional. A photo you pick from your library or take with the camera is resized and re-encoded on your device before upload; this removes embedded metadata such as the location where it was taken (EXIF). Only the processed image (a small JPEG) is stored. Your profile photo is visible to other Mootchy users: on your profile, next to your reviews and activity, in follower lists, in people search, in notifications and in Mootchy Night rooms. You can replace or remove it at any time in Edit Profile → Photo; removing it, or replacing it, deletes the previous file. Deleting your account also deletes your photo.
Follows and interactions. The accounts you follow and that follow you, follow requests, the likes you give to reviews and the likes your reviews receive, and the accounts you remove from your followers or block.
Your activity in the app. The titles you like and pass on, the ratings you give, the reviews you write and the visibility you choose for each, the lists you create and the covers you pick for them, your watching goals and statistics, the titles you ask to be told about when they are released (release reminders), the Mootchy Night (Movie Night) sessions you take part in, your votes and the matches from those sessions, your notification records and your notification preferences.
Age information. Your date of birth. In some countries and states we also get your age range from the app store (Apple or Google) at sign-up; we keep only the lower and upper bound of that range and when it was asked. We use it only to apply age-related protections.
Consent and acceptance records. Which version of the Terms of Use and of this policy you accepted, and when; your answer about opening your old content to everyone.
What you import. If you import an export file from Netflix, Letterboxd or IMDb, the file is read on your phone. Only the title details needed for matching (name and year), with your ratings and dates for those titles, reach our server. Matches are added to your watch history, likes, ratings and lists.
Report and moderation records. The reports you send, reports about your content or account, the moderation decisions taken and the statement-of-reasons e-mails sent to you.
Technical information. Device model, operating system version, app version, device language, approximate location derived from your IP address at country and city level, and the notification key for your device so that we can deliver notifications.
Product usage measurements. A limited number of in-app events is recorded so that we can understand which parts of the app are used. In these records you are represented only by a randomly generated identifier belonging to your account; your email address and username are not included. The titles you watch or like are not included either.
Error and crash records. When the app closes unexpectedly, a technical error record, device information and your account identifier are recorded.

Who sees what

Everyone on Mootchy: your profile (display name, username, photo, bio, favourite titles), your follower and following counts and lists, your public ratings, reviews and lists, and the like counts of your reviews. Your public reviews can appear in your followers' feed and on title pages.
Only you: reviews you mark Only me and your private lists, what you have watched (unless you turn it on), the titles you like and pass on in the deck, your email address, your date of birth and your notifications. Nobody is shown who liked a review.
People in a Mootchy Night room: your name, your photo, your votes in that room and its matches.
You and an account you block cannot see each other's content. Accounts under 18 start from much narrower defaults; see "Children and teenagers".

Data we do not collect

We collect nothing from your location services, contacts or microphone. We access your photo library and camera only at the moment you choose to pick a profile photo or scan a Mootchy Night room's QR code; we do not scan your library and we store no image other than the photo you choose. We do not record your screen. We do not use an advertising identifier and we do not share data with advertising networks.

Device permissions

Camera: when you choose to scan a Mootchy Night room's QR code or take a profile photo. When scanning a QR code no image is stored or transmitted; a profile photo you take is uploaded only once you confirm it.
Photo library: only when you choose to pick a profile photo. Only the photo you select is processed.
Notifications: for new followers and follow requests, likes on your reviews, Mootchy Night invitations and matches, and release reminders for titles you asked us about. You can switch each category off in the app settings. You may decline the permission, and the app still works.
Internet and network state: to fetch content and detect when you are offline.

Purposes of processing

We process your data to provide and maintain the service; to create and secure your account; to show your profile and the content you share to the audience you choose; to operate the follow, like and Movie Night features; to produce and personalise recommendations and to rank reviews on title pages and in feeds; to deliver notifications; to run age checks that protect people under 18; to review reports, take moderation decisions and handle appeals; to detect and fix errors; to prevent abuse and security breaches; and to improve the product and carry out statistical analysis.

Legal bases

Conclusion and performance of a contract: opening your account and providing the service; showing your profile and the content you share to the audience you choose; the follow, like, notification, Mootchy Night and import features.
Legitimate interests: security and abuse prevention, reviewing reports and moderation, fixing errors, improving the product and measuring product usage, and computing recommendations and rankings. We do this only to an extent that does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms; you can turn product usage measurement off in the settings.
Legal obligation: the age checks the law requires (including the age range from the app store in some countries and states), obligations about illegal content, and requests from competent authorities.
Explicit consent: opening to everyone your old reviews and lists that were visible only to your friends before Mootchy moved to following. Consent is not a condition of using the service, and you can withdraw it at any time by marking any review Only me or any list private.

Automated processing

Computing recommendations and rankings, refusing text with severe slurs and profanity before it is saved, and hiding content that has received a certain number of reports until it is reviewed all happen automatically. A person decides to remove your content or suspend your account. You can contest the result of automated processing at support@mootchy.com.

Our service providers

We use a limited number of service providers in order to deliver the service: database, authentication and file storage infrastructure, product usage measurement, error monitoring, distribution of app updates and notification delivery, e-mail delivery, and sign-in with Google and Apple. These providers process your data solely on our behalf and for the purposes set out in this policy. Their servers may be located outside your country; our product usage measurement and error monitoring services are hosted in the European Union region.

We may also disclose data to competent authorities where a legal obligation arises.

Where data is held

Data, including profile photos and the waitlist, is stored on Supabase infrastructure on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). Some of our providers may be located outside Türkiye and the EU; in that case the transfer takes place under that provider's standard contractual clauses.

Aggregated and anonymised data

We may produce aggregated and anonymised statistics that cannot be associated with your identity. Such statistics cannot be traced back to individual users and do not constitute personal data. We may share or license statistics of this nature with third parties. We do not sell your personal data under any circumstances and we do not share it with data brokers.

Retention

Your account and profile data are retained for as long as your account remains open. When you delete your account, this data and the in-app records attached to it are removed from our systems. Product usage measurements and error records are retained for the retention periods of our service providers. Aggregated and anonymised statistics are unaffected by account deletion, as they do not constitute personal data.

Account deletion cannot be undone.
Your profile photo is kept until you remove it or delete your account; replacing it deletes the previous file.
Release reminders are kept until you remove them or delete your account.
Import records are kept until you undo the import or delete your account.
The age range from the app store and your consent and acceptance records are kept for as long as your account remains open.
The record of moderation decisions is kept, cut off from your account even after you delete it, for as long as our legal obligations and appeals require.
Waitlist addresses are kept until the launch announcement is sent or until you ask to be removed.
Crash records are kept for at most 90 days.

Your rights

You have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, to request information where it has been processed, to learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose, to know the third parties to whom your data is transferred at home or abroad, to request correction where the data is incomplete or inaccurate, to request erasure or destruction, to request that these actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred, to object to an outcome adverse to you arising from analysis carried out solely by automated systems, and to claim compensation where you suffer loss due to unlawful processing.

If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can get a copy of your data in the app at Settings → Data → Export data.

To exercise these rights, write to support@mootchy.com. You can delete your account directly from within the app. We will respond within 30 days at the latest.

Your choices

You can mark any review Only me and keep any list private.
You choose whether others can see what you have watched in Settings → Privacy & Social.
You can remove followers and block accounts you do not want to hear from.
You can manage your notification preferences by category and turn off product usage measurement in the app settings.
You can replace or remove your profile photo at any time in Edit Profile, and remove a release reminder from that title's page.

Deleting your account

In the app go to Profile → Settings (the gear at the top right) → Account → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Your account, profile photo, likes, lists, ratings, reviews and the likes they received, the accounts you follow and your followers, goals, release reminders, import records, age and consent records and Mootchy Night history are permanently erased. If you signed in with Apple, Apple's verification page opens during deletion; if you close it without completing it, your account is not deleted.

Children and teenagers

Mootchy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. We delete accounts we learn belong to someone under 13. If you are a parent and suspect this, please write to us.

For accounts aged 13 to 17 we apply these protections:

Their reviews and lists are open only to their mutual followers by default. If they want to open them to everyone, they choose it themselves after an explanation and can always switch back.
Following them needs their approval. Their follower and following lists and counts are not shown to others.
Search finds them only by their exact username; they never appear among suggested accounts and their reviews are not shown on title pages.
Only their mutual followers can like their reviews. What they have watched is never shown to others.
Their content from before Mootchy moved to following is not opened to everyone.
They cannot change their date of birth in the app. Nothing opens by itself when they turn 18; we ask them once.
In some countries and states the app store's age information is used too; if the store says under 18, these protections apply whatever the date of birth.
Reports that involve someone under 18 go to the front of the moderation queue. More: Child safety standards.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the version and date on this page. We will show a significant change in the app and ask you to accept it, as with this version.
